Jon
Jon and I have been married almost 7 years and I could not be more happy! My heart is so full. He continues to surprise me, make me laugh hysterically, and love me well. He is my rock. He is such an incredible father to our girls, they love their Daddy. He is such a hard worker, and his faithfulness and perseverance to his calling, and to our church is pretty amazing. He is quirky, he is smart, he has no sense of style, he is funny (but tends to be the one laughing the hardest at his own jokes), and has great dance moves. Besides his family, he could not survive without his bike and music. He is an amazing handy man, and a great improviser. He is so loved. He is the best, and he is my husband!

Kiwi
Many of you have asked how I am doing these days so I thought I would share a little bit about what these past couple of months have been like for me and where I am at with "life".
A little over 3 months ago I miscarried at 18 weeks. When we went to the hospital and didn't see our baby moving or hear the heartbeat it was devastating. That week we were suppose to find out what we were having, and instead had to grieve the loss of our baby that we called baby Kiwi. It was a devastating time for us as a family. And in the midst of dealing with some pretty horrible news, and having to heal emotionally and physically both Jon and I felt God's grace, strength and comfort just squeezing us. We call that the "grace bubble".
As I have now had time to grieve and process what's happened and the loss, I am in a peaceful place knowing there was nothing I could have done, and the story of baby Kiwi was not intended for a full life here on earth but, a life full in heaven. Many ask Jon and I, "are you going to try again?" Well, we're not sure. I have never been more content and grateful for the two amazing girls that I have. I have had that feeling of wanting more, feeling not finished, feeling like 2 kids wasn't enough for us. Now, that feeling have somewhat faded. Jon and I more than ever have been asking ourselves the question"how do we live our lives well"? Being pretty consumed with planting a church and having 2 babies close together has made for a nutty couple of years. Emotionally, it has taken the biggest toll on us, and now we are finding ourselves in a place of peace and rest, calmness, and predictability, feelings we haven't felt in a long time!
I know all of you have had moments where you look at your life and go, "huh, really God"? The past couple of years have been pretty difficult for us. The demands, the responsibility, the stress levels, the finances, parenting, battling through some heavy healthy stuff, seeking wholeness, wanting to be healthy is all areas of our lives, making new friends, building community.... and on and on! I have had many occasions where I have said "huh, really God"?
That question hasn't been asked much since the miscarriage. It was a big turning point for us. Both Jon and I have seen some fruit of our faithfulness, to the calling He has for us and our church, and as parents to our girls. It has been such a relief to see some buds growing, some fruit, the richness and fullness that Christ has to offer. And so, I am learning as I try and "live my life well" to just enjoy today. To see the blessings and the life that is right in front of my eyes, and not get wrapped up into what I had "planned" and hoped for for my life but, to just relax and let God show me what's best for us, for our family, for my heart and spirit.
May you also find that peace and rest as you try and live well!

In honor of our Forefathers
So my Mom during 4th of July weekend taught the girls the song "God Bless America". They caught on to it pretty quickly (especially Buggie). Since then we hear them singing it every single day and thought it was time to get it on video, and share it with you. So... enjoy! And the other video is of Jac being interviewed. From time to time we do this with both the girls and always presents a good time.

Current Beats
So... I thought I would share some of my favorite beats that I can't get enough of these days. Throughout my day I am usually listening to princess music, or some Disney soundtrack, or the voices of my girls screaming some made up song. These days the girls are consumed with singing God Bless America (my Mom taught them) , and a Taylor Swift song that Auntie (my sister introduced them too). But, I love music too (but not as much as Jon). I hope some of these artists and their songs make you happy too! Enjoy!
